VSC
"Located in the northern Vermont mill village of Johnson, (pop. 3,450), the Vermont Studio Center resides in the heart of the Green Mountains, a beautiful and pastoral region in the northeastern United States."
very very excited to have received an acceptance letter to attend the VSC Residency Program for 2012!!! I have heard nothing but great things from previous residents and am really looking forward to it. Thankfully I will be going mid May- a non winter month. I would have been very fearful of the weather conditions. Have I mentioned this is the furthest North Ive been in the States?
some extra info about the program:
-24 painters, 12 sculptors/mixed-media, 2 printmakers, 2 photographers, & 12 writers accepted for each installment
- individual studios
-private living space, (food included-3 meals/day!)
-sculpture studio, print studio, darkroom facilities
-visiting artist lectures and studio visits
-open studio evenings, slide presentations, and readings
-galleries, library, and meditation bldg
cant wait cant wait!
